TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) — A Mexican national has pleaded guilty for his role in a forced-labor trafficking operation that was based in Polk County.
The U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Middle District of Florida stated that Alexander “Quichi” Villatoro Moreno, 53, pleaded guilty Tuesday in federal court on a RICO charge.
Alexander Villatoro Moreno was one of several defendants charged in the Los Villatoros Harvesting (LVH) labor trafficking operation, which prosecutors said victimized Mexican H-2A workers between 2015 and 2016…
