TAMPA, Fla., (WFLA) — A former Polk County Deputy, who killed two people in a DUI crash and then fled the country, was sentenced to over 3 decades behind bars on Monday.
It was an emotional day in court as impact statements from both the loved ones of the victims, as well as the family of Joshua Roelofs were read in court.
Now, Roelofs will spend the majority of his life in prison for the fatal crash that happened in April of 2022…
