The driver of a semi-truck died in a single-vehicle crash March 23 in northern Polk County, the Sheriff’s Office reported.
At about 3:05 p.m., a blue 2002 Freightliner semi‑truck with a dump trailer was traveling east on Deen Still Road and appeared to be going too fast to safely navigate the right curve, PCSO said in a news release. The truck left the roadway on the north side and entered the steep shoulder.
