On March 21, 2026, the Polk County Sheriff’s Office joined the City of Frostproof, Frostproof Fire Department, and The Freedom Tour to hold a Hometown Heroes event in Frostproof. Displays included a swamp buggy, airboat, drone, K9 unit, and Sheriff Judd’s 1972 patrol car. The Frostproof Fire Department showcased its engine, brush truck, and golf cart.
