Polk County is cracking down on sign clutter.
The County Commission unanimously approved a new right-of-way sign ordinance after a public hearing held during the March 17 board meeting. The new ordinance, effective in unincorporated Polk County, “establishes a stronger enforcement process for Polk County Code Enforcement staff to address unauthorized signs placed within county rights-of-way,” a news release said.
