LAKE WALES, Fla. — A teen was killed in a three-vehicle crash in Lake Wales on Tuesday night, officials say.
It happened just before 9:30 p.m. on US 27 near Pedalers Pond Boulevard. According to the Polk County Sheriff’s Office, evidence and eye witness statements indicate that an 18-year-old was going northbound on the highway in a 2025 black Honda four-door sedan.
At the same time, another 18-year-old was going southbound in the center lane while driving a 2007 silver Pontiac sedan. For unknown reasons, officials say the Honda lost control, crossed the grass median at Pedalers Pond Boulevard and collided with the Pontiac…
