POLK COUNTY, Fla. – A Sunday morning convenience store stop in Lakeland escalated into a felony arrest and a high-speed pursuit. Around 8:00 a.m., a man stopped at the Circle K located at 8324 US 98. When he returned to his vehicle after visiting the store, he discovered his cell phone had been stolen from the front seat.
The victim immediately activated a tracking feature on the device, which showed the phone at another nearby business.
