LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — The Nevada Highway patrol has released the name of a man who died in a crash that shut down a highway on Friday night.
Jonathon Kristofer Lopez, 25, of Plant City, Florida, died at the scene after his car struck a concrete barrier just north of the Snow Mountain exit on US 95. That’s about seven miles past the Kyle Canyon exit.
A preliminary investigation indicated that Lopez was driving a gray 2023 Hyundai Elantra sedan northbound on US 95. The vehicle went off the road and into the right shoulder, and the right-front of the sedan struck the barrier. The car was redirected back toward the highway and caught fire…
