POLK COUNTY, Fla. – A late-night sprint through Winter Haven ended in handcuffs early Thursday morning after a Polk County Sheriff’s deputy clocked a gray SUV traveling more than 50 mph over the posted speed limit.
Just before 1:00 a.m. on April 2nd, a deputy patrolling State Road 60 spotted a gray Kia SUV hurtling toward him at high speed. Radar measurements confirmed the vehicle was traveling 106 mph in a 55 mph zone.
