Nervous woman spotted at Wawa hands over drugs to law enforcement

A Mulberry woman was arrested on drug charges after admitting to having drugs in her truck.

An officer spotted a white Ford F-150 pickup truck at Wawa, located at 11770 U.S. Hwy. 301, around 12:40 a.m. Saturday, according to an arrest report from the Wildwood Police Department. A check of the tag revealed the registered owner, 28-year-old Megan Lynn Gold, had an invalid license due to an unpaid citation.

As the vehicle left the parking lot, the officer stopped it in the area of U.S. 301 and Jack Way. He informed Gold of the reason for the stop, to which she quickly insisted the male passenger beside her could drive. The officer next asked if the address on her license was correct, and she stated it was not, the report said.

She began acting more nervously and repeatedly asked if the passenger could drive as a K-9 unit arrived on scene. Through a serious of questions, she advised that there were 5 grams of marijuana in the back of the truck. She also had a small amount of white powder in a small plastic baggie that she handed over to law enforcement, the report said…
