POLK COUNTY, Fla. – A morning commute on I-4 turned into a scene of twisted metal and heavy cleanup today after a semi-truck slammed into a highway divider and vaulted over the concrete. The incident occurred in Polk County at approximately 10:10 AM near Milepost 57, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
A 60-year-old man from Lakeland was behind the wheel of the westbound tractor-trailer, which was hauling an empty trailer at the time.
