(WNY News Now) – A 49-year-old Florida man was taken into custody in Charlton, Georgia, on Saturday morning on a bench warrant issued by the Cattaraugus County Court in New York, according to the Cattaraugus County Sheriff’s Office.
The Cattaraugus County Sheriff’s Office reported that on April 11, 2026, at approximately 10:26 a.m., deputies arrested Russell S. Brant, 49, of Lakeland, Florida, following an extradition bench warrant issued by the Cattaraugus County Court.
According to the report, Brant was located and taken into custody at the Charlton County Sheriff’s Office in Charlton, Georgia, where local authorities assisted in executing the warrant. Deputies transported Brant back to the Cattaraugus County Jail without incident…
