  • Land Deal: In January 2026, the board approved a $10 million land purchase for the site. The deal involves buying 62.5 acres from KK Cattle LLC (facilitated by Fortress) and accepting a donation of 9.7 acres from Fortress Secured itself.
  • Concerns: During the approval process, some board members raised concerns about “Flood Zone A” designations on the property. However, project engineers stated that soil testing and updated mapping indicate the land is suitable for development.
