DAVENPORT, Florida — Deputies from the Polk County Sheriff’s Office arrested two clerks for selling alcohol to a minor during an operation on Wednesday, May 20, 2026.
The operation, known as Operation Pop-Top, involved visits to 10 convenience stores to ensure compliance with state alcohol sales laws. A 15-year-old high school student, part of the PCSO’s Cadet 1000 program, attempted to purchase alcohol at each location. The student successfully purchased alcohol at two 7-Eleven stores in Davenport, according to a press release from the Polk County Sheriff’s Office.
