A Chester County jury has awarded nearly $1 million in damages to a local family after a contractor’s negligence led to the collapse of a historic, 19th-century barn on their property.
In June 2022, the family purchased a 22-plus-acre property in Chester Springs featuring farmland, a small orchard, and a historic barn dating back to 1860. The barn was a central feature of the property and played a key role in the family’s decision to purchase the land.
