A Bern Township man died Tuesday evening after a tree limb struck him while he was trimming a tree from a ladder, according to the Berks County Coroner’s Office.
Berks County Coroner Matthew J. Stitzel said the incident occurred at 5:09 p.m. on June 30, when the Berks County 911 Center received a report of a fall victim at the rear of a residence in the 1000 block of Mahlon Drive in Bern Township.
According to the investigation, 80-year-old Donald Paul Glass was using a pole saw while standing on a ladder when a tree limb fell and struck him, causing both him and the ladder to fall to the ground…
