From Kenya to Kazakhstan: Chester County Welcomes 63 New U.S. Citizens at Valley Forge

Just days before America’s 250th birthday, 63 people from 17 countries stood at Valley Forge and became United States citizens, the same ground where George Washington’s Continental Army endured one of the darkest winters of the Revolution.

The new citizens, ranging in age from 18 to 87, took the Oath of Allegiance at Founding Forward‘s Valley Forge campus in Phoenixville, surrounded by family, friends, Gov. Josh Shapiro, a George Washington reenactor, and even a bald eagle, writes Brooke Schultz for The Philadelphia Inquirer.
