A Lancaster County man, Bryan Emeric Adolph, is set to appear in court next month for a preliminary hearing on August 28. Adolph, 26, is accused of fatally stabbing his sister, Elyse Adolph, and wounding his brother during a violent altercation at their home in East Hempfield Township, Pennsylvania.
The incident occurred on Monday, July 20, when police were called to the 1100 block of Persimmon Drive. Upon arrival, officers found Elyse dead in the foyer and her brother injured outside. According to the affidavit, the dispute began over barking dogs, leading Bryan to attack Elyse with multiple knives, stabbing her approximately 20 times. When his brother intervened, Bryan allegedly stabbed him as well.
Bryan fled the scene but was later apprehended near Route 30 and Good Drive. He was found with blood on his body, which he claimed were injuries from the altercation. Police charged him with criminal homicide, aggravated assault, and possession of an instrument of crime.
