(WHTM) — Lancaster County conducted its first property reassessment in eight years.
Now, property owners who disagree with the assessed value of their homes are appealing at hearings, making the case that the recently assessed value of their property is too high and should be lower.
“In our view, they thought they were too high,” attorney Bill Kerr, who is representing apartment owners, said. “We had new values we thought were fair, but then when the reassessment came, they significantly increased that.”
