LANCASTER COUNTY, Pa. (WHTM) — Work continues on the multi-year refurbishment of the Route 30/222 interchange in Lancaster County, with the next step coming Thursday.
PennDOT announced that paving on the shoulder from the southbound Route 222 ramp to eastbound Route 30 will result in a stop condition, as well as lane closures, Thursday beginning at 9 p.m. and lasting until 6 a.m. Friday, weather permitting.

The stop condition will in place at the end of the Route 222 ramp for vehicles merging onto Route 30. The acceleration lane will also be closed.
The improvement project for the interchange involves “reconstructing” Route 222 for the interchange approximately one mile near Stoner Park, just south of the Landis Valley Road bridge, creating a second lane on the southbound Route 222 ramp to westbound Route 30 that will tie into the existing northbound exit ramp to Route 272 (Oregon Pike)…
