STATE COLLEGE, Pa.- The Franklin & Marshall men’s golf team opened the fall 2026 schedule with the first round of The Toftrees Invitational from the par-72 Toftrees Golf Resort.
F&M’s five competing golfers were consistent in their first competitive round of the fall, as everyone finished their round between two-over par and four-over par. Sebastian Botero has the team’s best score at 74 (+2) in a tie for 23rd. Botero had four birdies in the round, including a run of three birdies from four holes to round out the front nine holes, where he was one under par (35). He finished no worse than bogey on an individual hole. Winston Thai and Wayne He each recorded a 75 to tie for 30th through Sunday. Thai had three birdies in his round. Riley Norton and Max Silverman totaled 76 strokes to tie for 40th so far. Norton’s round was highlighted by an eagle on the 535-yard par 5 second hole, while he had one birdie. Silverman had one birdie and a par on each of the final six holes.
The Diplomats rank eighth from 16 teams competing in the tournament with a score of 300 (+12). They’ll enter the second round within three strokes of the top five and ten strokes from second place. John Carroll leads with a score of 282 (-6) and an eight-stroke advantage over second place…
