Vehicle accident, prohibited use of interactive mobile device – At 10:28 p.m. Sept. 10, a 17-year-old Fredericksburg boy became distracted while driving in the area of West Main Street, causing a 2005 Dodge to exit its lane onto the right shoulder of the road, where it struck a Verizon communication pole. The boy was wearing a seatbelt and was not injured. The Dodge sustained disabling front-end damage and was towed from the scene by Dale Richards Towing. Police charged the boy with prohibited use of interactive mobile device. Verizon responded to the scene regarding the damaged pole.

Drug possession – Police charged Ryan Weaver, 48, with possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia after an incident at around 2:30 a.m. Sept. 17 on the 100 block of South 9th Street.
