Dear Manheim Township School District Community,
At a press conference today, the Lancaster County District Attorney shared the findings of their investigation into Manheim Township School District’s actions in response to an alleged incident of harassment involving members of the high school boys lacrosse team during a trip to Ohio two years ago. The District Attorney concluded that the District was not at fault for any failure to report the incident.
Throughout this matter, District staff took the allegations seriously and acted promptly to address them. Within hours of learning of the allegation, staff initiated an investigation and notified the police department. Additionally, the District consulted legal counsel on the need to initiate a Title IX investigation, and subsequently conducted a comprehensive Title IX investigation as required by law.
