A man wanted for a violent rape and beating pulled a gun on police last month after they found him hiding behind a vacant Lancaster County Taco Bell, officials said Friday. The Lancaster County District Attorney released the new details in ruling that the officers were justified in killing Shane Kelec, 38, on Dec. 28.
