Duo faces homicide charges from deadly Lancaster County shooting

LANCASTER COUNTY, Pa. (WHTM)– Two people are facing charges stemming from a deadly shooting earlier in the month in Lancaster County.

Lancaster City Bureau of Police said in a news release that Ta’jhon Veal, 20, of Lancaster, and Joy Cleveland, 19, of Lancaster, both face homicide charges from the shooting where 19-year-old Elliot Corbin was fatally injured on Jan. 6. They were arrested Friday.

Police said they found Corbin when they were dispatched for a shots fired report just before 5:30 p.m. in the area of the 400 block of S. Prince St.  Police said they saw Corbin was shot and he was rushed to the hospital but he died from his injuries.

Other than homicide, the duo faces charges of murder of the first degree and conspiracy to commit criminal homicide. Veal also faces a misdemeanor charge of carrying a firearm without a license.
