The president of a Pennsylvania school board was killed in a small plane crash Thursday afternoon, the school district said in a release. Sam Ganow, who served as the president of the Octorara Area School District School Board, was the only person aboard the plane when it took off from the Chester County Airport in Coatesville at 1:25 p.m., according to the district’s statement, the Associated Press and FlightAware, an online flight tracking website.
