Millersville University Adds Canine Officer To Police Force. (Millersville, PA) — Police officials at Millersville University have added a canine officer to their ranks. Chief Pete Anders says the 15-month-old male Golden Retriever is named “Brooks.” He’s working with Officer Ivan Gonzalez to complete his training as trauma dog. His job will involve being a comfort to crime victims during interviews or students who suffer from depression or anxiety. Chief Anders says the dog is a big hit on campus, especially with students who are missing their own pets at home.
