Sandra Ganse of the 100 block of Roselle Avenue in Lancaster, was found partially ejected at the scene, Chief Deputy Coroner, Eric Bieber explained.
For an unknown reason, Ganse had lost control of her 1964 Ford Mustang — exiting the road near Lititz Pike, striking a curb — causing the Mustang to fall approximately six feet down an embankment, landing on its side, according to the Manheim Township Police.
The police were called to the scene at 6: 57 p.m. on Feb. 3, as detailed in the department release. The parking lot where this deadly incident happened is a private location, the police explained in an update.
Ganse was pronounced dead at 8:30 p.m., Bieber said. Her cause and manner of death are pending further investigation. Her body was taken to the Lancaster County Forensic Center for an Autopsy, Bieber concluded.
The police continue to investigate this fatal crash. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Manheim Township Police Department.
