Tow truck driver hit by vehicle in Lancaster County, police looking for driver

LANCASTER COUNTY, Pa. (WHTM)– A tow truck driver was sent to the hospital after being hit by a vehicle in Lancaster County.

The hit-and-run crash happened at about 8:20 a.m. Wednesday on Route 23 near Ironville Pike, West Hempfield Township Police said in a Facebook post .

A tow truck driver was loading a disabled vehicle onto the truck when they were hit by a vehicle, police said. The driver suffered minor injuries and is being treated at a local hospital.

Police are looking for the vehicle driver and are asking anyone who was traveling in the area to contact Officer Aaron Steager at (717)-285-5191.
