Ready-to-drink, to go cocktails now available in more locations across PA

Today is the day for canned cocktails in Pennsylvania.

Ready-to-drink cocktails are available beginning Monday, September 16 at beer distributors, grocery stores, convenience stores and other places that are able to sell alcohol.

Previously, ready-to-drink cocktails were only available at Fine Wine & Good Spirits locations across the commonwealth.

That means produced like canned Bacardi, Malibu, Captain Morgan, High Noon and Surfside will be available at places like Giant Eagle, Sheetz and other retails are that able to sell alcohol.

“Thanks to our bipartisan budget, you will soon be able to go get ready-to-drink cocktails – some made right here in Pennsylvania – at places like grocery stores and gas stations,” said Governor Josh Shapiro last month when the bill was passed. “Today’s announcement opening the new permit applications means we’re one step closer to making that a reality. This is what real freedom looks like, and we did it in a way that protects taxpayers and supports our state workers.”
