Man Tased after trying to burglarize home in Lancaster County, police say

LANCASTER COUNTY, Pa. (WHTM) — A man tried to burglarize a Lancaster County home Monday afternoon but instead, he was Tased after trying to run from police, according to court documents.

Cole Gamber, 29, of Elizabethtown was taken into custody after he tried forcing his way into a home in the 1700 block of Stonemill Drive in West Donegal Township before 2 p.m., Northwest Regional Police said in a news release.

According to the criminal complaint, the homeowner and their child were home when Gamber was trying to get in the house.

It was reported to officers by the resident that Gamber was seen on home video surveillance trying to open the back basement door to the home, police said.

After police arrived, they saw Gamber at the back door and ordered him to get on the ground, but instead, he tried to run but was Tased and taken into custody, the complaint states.
