Pennsylvania school bus hit by gunfire

COATESVILLE, Pa. (WHTM) – A school bus in Chester County was struck by gunfire on Thursday afternoon.

The Chester County District Attorney’s office released a joint statement along with the City of Coatesville Police Department confirming that a Coatesville Area School District bus was hit by gunfire.

Officials say no one was hurt but did not confirm how many people were on the bus at the time.

“No child should be subjected to gunfire on a school bus,” said the joint statement from City of Coatesville Police Department Chief Jack Lauffer and Chester County District Attorney Christopher L. de Barrena-Sarobe joint statement. “This is an active, high-priority investigation.”
