HVAC unit malfunctions, sparks early-morning apartment fire in Lancaster County

LANCASTER COUNTY, Pa. (WHP) — One person was displaced after an HVAC unit malfunctioned and caused an apartment fire in Lancaster Township early Friday morning.

The fire broke out minutes after 3 a.m. inside a unit at the Williamson Square Apartments, located at 1113 Wheatland Avenue, according to the Lancaster Township Fire Department.

Firefighter arrived to smoke coming from the side of the building and found the smoke had spread to three other apartment units…
