LANCASTER COUNTY, Pa. (WHP) — The same day Tony Eckinger bought an electric bike so he could get to work he says he got in a serious accident that landed him in the ICU with major injuries. As the investigation unfolds, the Lancaster County native’s family wishes there was more transparency.
“I was pretty scared, I didn’t know what was going on,” said Eckinger. “I just remember riding my bike and the next thing you know I was in the hospital and couldn’t move.”
Eckinger doesn’t remember anything from the crash involving his electric bike and a car last Sunday that ended with him in Lancaster General Hospital. The evidence, however, exhibits what happened. His bike shattered into pieces, his arm is broken, and the smile so many people knew him for has changed…
