Big rig strikes 9’9″ bridge, tearing trailer in two and leaving road littered with candy, cops say

A semi’s trailer was catastrophically damaged by a strike with a low clearance bridge in Pennsylvania on Thursday afternoon, according to local police.

The bridge strike occurred on April 3 on South Flowers Mill Road in Middletown Township, Pennsylvania.

According to the Middletown Township Police Department (MTPD), a truck hauling a load of candy struck a bridge marked with a clearance of 9’9″.
