Driver cited from Lancaster County horse & buggy crash that injured multiple people, ‘seriously’ hurt 3-year-old

LANCASTER COUNTY, Pa. (WHTM) — A driver was cited after a horse and buggy crash in Lancaster County last month injured multiple people, including a one and a three-year-old, whose injuries were considered “serious,” State Police said.

In a Monday crash report, State Police out of Lancaster said an 84-year-old man, of Holtwood, was driving a 2017 Toyota Prius northbound when he crashed into the back of the horse and buggy, also headed northbound, on Susquehannock Drive in Martic Township on March 8.

The driver said he did not see the horse and buggy before he crashed into the back of it. State Police did issue a citation against the Prius driver for careless driving, the report states.
