Police search for suspect in identity theft, forgery case at Lancaster-area credit union

LANCASTER, Pa. — Police in Lancaster County are searching for a New York man accused of opening a bank account and depositing a check for more than $23,000 using a false identity.

Thomas Salvatore Ruzzano, 55, of Jamaica, NY, is charged with identity theft, forgery and theft by deception in connection to the case, which was reported to Manheim Township Police on April 8 by the Belco Community Credit Union on the 1700 block of Oregon Pike.

According to police, the credit union provided information that an individual named Ramon Colon opened an account on Feb. 12, and then later deposited a check in the amount of $23,719.13 into his account on Feb. 19…
