Big Changes Coming to Route 30/222 in Lancaster County – What You Need to Know

LANCASTER COUNTY, PA — The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) has announced planned lane and ramp closures as part of the Route 30/Route 222 Interchange Improvement Project in Lancaster County. These restrictions are necessary to facilitate traffic switches onto the newly constructed southbound Route 222 bridge.

Weather permitting, work will commence on Monday, May 5, with closures scheduled for the right lane of westbound Route 30 and the ramp from westbound Route 30 to northbound Route 222. These closures will last from 9:00 PM Monday to 6:00 AM Tuesday, May 6. A detour will direct traffic west to the Fruitville Pike Exit before returning eastbound on Route 30 and heading north on Route 222.

Closures will continue the following evening on Tuesday, May 6, with the left lane of southbound Route 222 and the ramp from southbound Route 222 to eastbound Route 30 closed between 9:00 PM and 6:00 AM Wednesday, May 7.
