S. Clyde Weaver Is a Sandwich Haven for Hungry Patrons

LANCASTER, Pa. — S. Clyde Weaver’s Lancaster Central Market stand and its country specialty stores are well known for their fresh hoagies and sandwiches. But for Weaver’s — now being guided by the fourth generation of the Weaver-Neff family — that really is just the tip of the iceberg lettuce.

Third generation Daniel Weaver Neff oversaw the store and market stands for 35 years — turning the day-to-day management of what he describes as a country specialty store operation to sons Ben and Nate in 2020.

The senior Neff, 74, visits the stores regularly and remains active, volunteering for a number of community service programs while remaining the living repository of S. Clyde Weaver history…
