Lancaster County man allegedly stole copper pipe meant for Veteran’s Affairs projects

LEBANON COUNTY, Pa. (WHTM) — A U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) engineering employee was charged in Lebanon County after police say he stole dozens of copper pieces that were supposed to be for VA construction projects.

Andrew Hagy, 37, of Elizabethtown, allegedly confessed when questioned to stealing the copper pipe, saying he did it because he is in debt, charging documents filed by Veterans Affairs Police show.
