YORK COUNTY, Pa. (WHTM) — A fake viral post about a woman police officer who is supposedly missing and in danger has police in York County issuing a warning for the community.
The post that Carroll Township police is warning about states that a “silver alert” was issued, meaning that the officer could be in danger.
“We want to advise all residents and visitors that the following social media post is FALSE,” the department said in a statement. “There is no threat to any officers or their family at this time.”…
