When Kevin Hyun Ahn, 31, showed up at his estranged sister’s apartment on March 24, 2025, she contacted police. She claimed her transient brother was “acting weird” outside of her home in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania. Ahn allegedly drove their mother’s car, and because he was not generally welcome at the home, his presence concerned his sister. No one expected what they would uncover inside the vehicle.
According to a statement from North Lancaster Regional Police, officers arrived at the home shortly before 3 p.m. They spoke with Ahn’s sister, who alleged her brother arrived at the home driving their mother’s 2022 Toyota Rav 4. After an argument with his sister, Ahn reportedly took off in the car. He allegedly returned about 3:30 p.m., and the sister and her husband confronted him.
When the pair approached the vehicle, they reportedly noticed an unresponsive person inside the vehicle covered with “household goods.” WGAL reported that investigators found Ahn’s mother, Hyun Ahn, 61, dead in the back of the vehicle.
