Skeletal Remains Found In Lancaster Township

Skeletal remains were found in a field near the 200 block of Cocalico Creek Road in West Earl Township, Lancaster County, Pennsylvania. The discovery was made by a passerby on June 12, but a thorough investigation was delayed due to rain. On Saturday (June 21), police and the Lancaster County coroner conducted a more comprehensive search of the area, closing Cocalico Creek Road from Rose Hill Road to Newport Road for the investigation.

According to Sgt. Jordan Byrnes of the West Earl Township Police Department, the investigation is in its early stages. Coroner Dr. Stephen Diamantoni stated that it could take weeks to determine the cause of death and gather more details. Authorities plan to release further information today (June 23)…
