DAUPHIN COUNTY, Pa. (WHP) — A York County family is finally beginning a path back to normalcy after a man and his 5-year-old granddaughter were injured in a cash several weeks ago, leaving them both in comas.
The family posted an update on social media late last week that 5-year-old Penelope woke up from her coma and has started her journey to rehabilitation on the 6th floor of the hospital.
On Facebook, the family wrote, “She has gotten EVERYTHING removed including ventilation, ICP monitors, EEG cords, IV’s and central lines, and she has had her feeding tube re done to where it’s going directly into stomach now with nutrition and medication. She’s off of sedation and is slowly being weaned off of pain medication into Tylenol and such.”…
