Local man arrested for trafficking 2 pounds of meth into Pennsylvania

CENTRE COUNTY, Pa. (WTAJ) — A Dauphin County man was taken into custody by authorities this week in Centre County after a drug trafficking investigation started in March 2025.

Jaionne Tiere Miller, 25, is being charged with multiple offenses in connection with his alleged trafficking of pounds of methamphetamine valued at $80,000 into the State College area.

Miller allegedly communicated through text message with, unbeknownst to him, an informant, about setting up a purchase of methamphetamine in late March. According to the criminal complaint, the controlled substance purchase was then set for April 1, for two pounds of methamphetamine costing $6,000.

On April 1, after traveling from his residence in Harrisburg to the Walmart located on North Atherton Street in State College, Miller allegedly pulled next to the informant’s vehicle, exited, and went to the trunk of his vehicle, pulling out a black plastic bag. He next entered the informant’s vehicle and exchanged the suspected methamphetamine within the black plastic bag for the $6,000. The encounter lasted 8 seconds, according to law enforcement…
