Chocolate sold at popular supermarket chain recalled in Pa., other states: Here’s why

A brand of chocolate sold at a popular supermarket chain is being recalled due to a potential allergen not listed on the packaging.

Mellace Family Brands California, of Warren, Ohio, announced it is recalling Wegmans Semi–Sweet Chocolate Nonpareils, because of an undeclared milk allergen.

The chocolates were sold in Wegmans stores in Delaware, Maryland, Massachusetts, North Carolina, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Virginia, and Washington D.C., according to the Food and Drug Administration (FDA)…
