LANCASTER COUNTY, Pa. (WHTM) — Tens of thousands of birds were affected by Avian Influenza in central Pennsylvania after the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention announced Tuesday that it was ending its emergency response for the virus.
A total of 29,300 birds in Lancaster County that were “commercial raised for release upland game” were confirmed on July 2 to have the virus, according to the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s (USDA) website.
