Lancaster County fire company launches fundraising campaign to build new firehouse

WASHINGTON BORO, Pa. — A Lancaster County fire company on Tuesday announced the launch of a fundraising campaign to build a new, state-of-the-art firehouse.

“Answering the Call — The Blue Rock Firehouse Project” has already raised $1 million toward its $10 million goal, the fire company said in a press release.

The new firehouse will offer modern equipment bays and training spaces, improved living quarters for volunteer crews and a centralized location that will reduce response times and allow Blue Rock Fire Rescue to better serve the growing needs of western Lancaster County…
