NORRISTOWN — A Chester County man was sent to prison and faces a hefty restitution bill for stealing more than $300,000 as part of a scheme during which he promised to liquidate a sick friend’s business equipment but kept all the proceeds for himself.
Kevin Walsh, 67, of the unit block of Creekside Lane, Malvern, was sentenced in Montgomery County Court to 20- to-120-months in a state correctional facility after he pleaded guilty to felony charges of theft by deception and deceptive business practices in connection with incidents that occurred between 2020 and 2021.
Judge Wendy G. Rothstein also ordered Walsh to pay $318,335 in restitution to his one-time friend from whom he stole. The restitution must be paid within 10 years, the judge said…
