YORK COUNTY, Pa. — The number of people experiencing homelessness in York County is on the rise, according to a coalition of community partners.
The York County Coalition on Homelessness, a group aimed at helping the York community’s homeless population, said that the number of sheltered and unsheltered people rose by 17% year over year.
The data comes from the group’s Point-in-Time count, a survey of the community’s homeless population required by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development.
